You can get this error in Didger 3 if the two bitmaps were georeferenced using different projection parameters. Make sure you calibrated the bitmaps with the exact same Projection, Projection Settings, and Datum before exporting the bitmaps.

Didger 4 solves this problem as it reprojects the second bitmap during import to match that of the first.
