The reason why you are getting the "The selected bitmap has not been properly georeferenced" error message in Didger 3 is because the raster image is not rectified.
If you are georeferencing the image in a raster project for use in a vector project, you have to use the Image | Warp Image command in the raster project prior to exporting it as a GeoTIFF.
