Golden Software Programs can work with any numeric values for the X and Y coordinates. Latitude and longitude are fine as long as they are in decimal degrees. Longitudes in the Western Hemisphere and latitudes in the Southern Hemisphere should be expressed as negative numbers.
Only Didger, MapViewer and Surfer 10 have the ability to convert coordinates for maps from one system to another. Surfer 9 also offers the ability to convert coordinates in data files from one system to another via the Surfer worksheet.
See the related KB topic on how to convert latitude and longitude values to decimal degrees.
