In MapViewer, use the Edit | Copy All Layers command to copy the entire map to the Windows clipboard. In Word, or another application, use Edit | Paste to paste the map. You can also use the Edit | Paste Special command to see a list of formats that are on the clipboard and you can choose which format to paste. The Picture (Enhanced Metafile) is usually the best choice.
Another alternative is to export the map from MapViewer and then import it into another application. For office-type applications, the EMF (Windows Picture Enhanced) format is often a good choice. In Word or PowerPoint, you can import this file using the Insert | Picture | From File command.
