To reduce the number of points in a polyline in Didger, you can:
1. Resample the line if you are in a vector project. Select the line and go to Tools | Resample Polyline, select your desired output result and uncheck Create New Line, and click OK.
2. Thin the polyline. Select the polyline and go to Tools | Thin and Smooth. Here you have four options to choose from. You can try each of them to see which gives you the best results.
