The gridlib.dll and grid.cpp error is probably caused by the resulting GRD file being completely blanked. In Grid Math, if either of the GRD files has a blanked grid node, the result of the operation is a blanked grid node.

You may be able to add two GRD files by replacing the blanked nodes with zeros. Choose the Grid / Filter menu command, specify the first GRD file, and click Open. In the Digital Filtering dialog box, choose the Linear Convolution Filters / User Defined Filters / General User-defined (mxn) filter. In the Edge Effects section, change Blanked Nodes to Fill, change the Value to 0, and click OK. Repeat for the second GRD file, then do the Grid Math.
