Surfer, Grapher, and Strater close unexpectedly or crash when I try to access the Help | Contents menu. How do I fix this?

The help crash is caused by a conflict between the PSAPI.DLL file in the Golden Software application directory and the PSAPI.DLL in C:\Windows\System32\ installed by Internet Explorer 7.

In Surfer 8, deleting or renaming the PSAPI.DLL file in the Surfer installation directory (C:\Program Files\Golden Software\Surfer8\ by default) resolves the problem.  The default Surfer 8 directory in Windows XP 64 and Windows Vista 64 is C:\Program Files (x86)\Golden Software\Surfer8\.

In Strater 1, copy the PSAPI.DLL file from C:\Windows\System32\ to the Strater installation directory (C:\Program Files\Golden Software\Strater\ by default) to solve the problem.
