 Error message when closing Surfer under Windows Vista.
Vista and 7 prevented Surfer from saving settings to the surfer.set file when it resides in the C:\Program Files\ folder for 32-bit or C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder for 64-bit.
Surfer version 8.09 fixes this problem. Log into the computer as Administrator, right click over surfer.exe and choose "Run as administrator". Once Surfer is opened, go to Help | Check for Update to connect to our servers and download the patch file to version 8.09 and start the installation process.
