| My logs are all over 200m long. How do I set the scale so that only 20 m is shown on each page? | |||||||||
Strater scales logs based on a
scaling depth per inch (or centimeter, depending on how you have your page
units set up). To set it up so that there is 20 m per page, go through the
following steps: 1.
Go
to File | Page Setup. If this is grayed out, go to View | Borehole
View Properties and in the Property Manager, change the Log
Display Mode to Page View. 2.
In
the Page Setup dialog, note the Height of the Log Pane. 3.
Divide
the scale you want per page (20 m in this case) by the height of the log pane.
For example, if the log pane height is 7.8”, you would divide 20 by 7.8 to get
2.56. 4.
Go
to View | Borehole View Properties. 5.
In
the Property Manager and set Auto-recalculate Scale to False. 6. Set the Scaling Depth per Inch value to the number calculated in Step 3 (ie. 2.56). How can I show certain depth ranges per page in my borehole design? How do I set the scale so that it is 1:500? How can I set a permanent scale, but have the starting/ending borehole depths change according to the data? My log goes from 0 to 100 feet. How can I have it show 1”=10’ so that the log is 10” long? |
