Use the Rainbow preset to apply rainbow colors to your map. Alternatively, you can load the Rainbow.CLR file that comes with Surfer.
To apply the Rainbow preset: - Select the Contours layer in the Object Manager.
- In the Property Manager, go to the General tab.
- Make sure the Fill contours check box is checked.
- Go to the Levels tab.
- Click on the button to the right of Fill colors and select Rainbow. The colors are applied.
- To make any changes to the preset colors, click the button to the right of Fill colors again and click the Custom button at the bottom of the drop down list. Make your edits in the Colormap dialog and click OK.
To load the Rainbow CLR file: - Select the Contours layer in the Object Manager.
- In the Property Manager, go to the General tab.
- Make sure the Fill contours check box is checked.
- Go to the Levels tab.
- Change the Level method to Advanced.
- Click on the Edit Levels button.
- In the Properties dialog, click the Fill button.
- In the Fill dialog, click the Foreground Color button.
- In the Colormap dialog, click the Load button.
- In the Open dialog, navigate to the ColorScales folder in the Surfer installation directory.
