Yes! When you invoke the zoom and many other commands from the toolbar buttons in MapViewer (4,5,6,7), Grapher (1-9), Strater, Surfer (5,6,7,8*, 9**, 10**), or Didger (2,3,4**), you have the following options:
- If you single-click on a tool, it will operate one time.
- If you double-click on the tool, it will remain in effect for repeated use.
- To cancel out of the repeated-use mode, either click on a different tool, like Select, or hit the Esc key on the keyboard.
*In Surfer 8, go to File | Preferences, General tab, and uncheck Single-use tool mode for repeated use of tools. If Single-use tool mode is selected, the above will apply.
**For Didger 4 and Surfer 9 or 10 the Zoom functions are continuous. In Surfer 9 and 10, if you wish to go back to single-use tool mode, go to Tools | Options, and under General General, uncheck the box next to Retain tool mode.
Golden Software programs also have the ability to Zoom Realtime:
- To continually zoom use the Zoom Realtime command (View | Zoom | Zoom Realtime). When Zoom Realtime is activated:
- Holding the left mouse button down and moving the mouse up will zoom continuously in.
- Holding the left mouse button down and moving the mouse down will zoom continuously out.
- You can double-click the Zoom Realtime button to zoom multiple times and then hit Esc to get out of zoom mode.
- Voxler's only zoom option is View | Zoom In/Out, which acts as a Zoom Realtime tool. It is always activated for continuous use.
- Grapher 8 and 9 allows you to use the mouse scroll button to zoom in and out in, similar to zoom realtime. Scroll the mouse forward to zoom in and backward to zoom out.
