Scale bars and titles are automatically created in the header pane for logs that have variables (line/symbol, crossplot, and bar logs) and if you have the 'Auto Create Scale Bar' option checked under Tools | Options | General.

If the scale bar was deleted and you want to recreate it, or you want to create a second scale bar, you can do so automatically by selecting the log and using the Tools | Add Log Item Scale Bar | To Header (or To Footer) command. That command is only active if you have a line/symbol, crossplot, or bar log selected prior to using it.

If you would like to manually create an additional scale bar, go to Draw | Scale Bar and then click in the header or footer pane where you want the scale to be placed. You can set the scale bar properties manually to display any range you wish. Alternatively, you can link it to an existing line/symbol, crossplot, or bar log by selecting it and in the Property Manager setting the Type to Log Item, and then setting the Log Item to whichever log you want to link it to.
