| Sometimes I only see place holder logs and the logs don?t show my data. What is wrong? |

Strater will show all logs as generic place holder logs when you are in Design Mode. The logs will show your data only when in Active Mode. To check which mode you are in, go to View | Borehole View Properties and look at the View Mode (the first line).
You can switch between Design Mode and Active Mode by going to Tools | Design Mode, pressing the F4 key, or by clicking the Design Mode button on the Borehole toolbar.
