Yes!  You can save your contour level information as a level file [.LVL] and load it at for use at a later time.

The easiest way to create a level file containing contour level information is from the contour map properties dialog.

  1. In the contour map properties dialog, change any of the contour parameters, including the contour levels, line properties, fill properties, contour labels, and hachure information.
  2. After changing the settings, click the Save button on the Levels page in the contour map properties dialog.
  3. In the Save As dialog, type the name of the level file and click OK. The level file is saved with an [.LVL] extension.

To use a level file with any contour map, click the Load button on the Levels page. All contour maps using the level file must have comparable Z data ranges, otherwise contour lines and fill will not appear on the map.
