The "Invalid configuration file" error when running the Help | Check for Update command is most likely caused by the application having problems contacting our update server due to a company firewall or proxy server.
In most cases, you cannot disable the company firewall. If you have the proxy server information, go to Help | Check for Update, and in the Internet Update dialog, click the Advanced button. Enter the proxy server information and click OK and Next to continue.
If that does not work, you are also more than welcome to email your registered serial number to technical support for instructions on how to download the full updated version.
