The Image Coordinates entered in the base map properties must be for the X and Y maximum and minimum pixels of the image.
If you don't know the coordinates of the X and Y min/max of your map, there may be a way to calculate these values if you know at least two points inside the map boundary.
Please download Issue 43 of our newsletter. Scroll down to Page 5 and read "Calibrating Bitmap Corners from Points Within the Map in Surfer 7". Although it says "Surfer 7" in the title, it is relative to higher versions of Surfer as well.
