There are several example maps for Didger.   Some of the map files come with Didger and others can be found on our web site at www.goldensoftware.com.

Maps that come with Didger are located in the Samples folder.  The Sample folder can be found in the directory C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Golden Software\Didger 4\Samples.  There are two options for loading sample maps into Didger.  The first option is to load a Didger Project File, a [.PJT], which can be done by clicking on File| Open  and selecting one of the [.PJT] files.  The second option is to load a [.GSB], [.TIF], or [.JPG] file which can be done by clicking on File | Import… and selecting one of the file types.

Maps that can be downloaded from our web site can be found in the Boundaries  link within the Downloads tab.  To open the Boundaries link, http://www.goldensoftware.com/boundaries.shtml, place your cursor over the Downloads tab and select Boundaries from the pull down list.  The Digital Raster Graphics links contain multiple map zip files of National Parks in the United States.  There are also boundary files you can download on the Boundaries link and there is a great knowledge base article on them located at http://www.goldensoftware.com/activekb/questions/394/Where+can+I+download+boundary+files%3F.

Maps and data for maps that can be loaded into Didger can be found across the web as well.  One great location for creating maps is your local county government web site.  Many county web sites contain Digital Data Sets that can be used to create maps in Didger.  These Digital Data Sets are zipped files that can be downloaded to your computer and then the [.SHP] files can be loaded into Didger to create maps like the map attached.  The map attached is from Digital Data Sets on the Grand County web site at http://co.grand.co.us/GIS.html.
