If the worksheet file was changed in a program other than Grapher, such as Excel, while the graph was open in Grapher you will need to update the file. To do this, save the file in the other program. Then in Grapher, choose Graph | Reload Worksheets. This command re-reads the data from the saved file. If the plot is set to use automatic rows, the graph will automatically update.
In Grapher 1, 2, and 3, the Grapher program would need to be closed completely and reopened to reload the worksheet file.
If you still do not see the graph update, make sure that the Auto Track Worksheets item is on.
Grapher 9: Click Tools | Options and click Plots on the left of the Options dialog. Ensure that Auto track worksheets is checked.
Preceding versions of Grapher: Click View and ensure that Auto track worksheets is checked.
