To have the angle axis show the compass directions instead of degrees, follow these steps:
  1. Create a worksheet that has the angle direction and compass text in two separate columns. An example is attached.
  2. Click on the angle axis in either the Object Manager or plot window to select it.
  3. In the Property Manager, click on the Tick Labels tab.
  4. Open the Major label text section.
  5. Change the Label source to “From worksheet”.
  6. Click the Worksheet command where the word None appears. In the list, select the worksheet created in step 1.  You may need to click Browse and select the worksheet in the Open Worksheet dialog if the file is not already open.
  7. Set the Data column to the Angle column (column A in the example attached).
  8. Set the Label column to the Direction column (column B in the example attached).
The graph will now show the direction labels. You can have as many or as few directions as you want.
