Approximately 8,500 geologists, geophysicists and engineers from around the world will gather in Denver this coming Sunday for the American Association of Petroleum Geologists Annual Convention and Exhibition. We will be exhibiting this year and wish we could talk to all of you. Sure, we want to show off our powerful and affordable data visualization software, but what we’re really excited about is what we will learn from you.
If you use our software, we want to learn how you use it and what features you like the most. We also want to know how we can improve our software to make your job easier, thereby allowing you to focus on more important tasks. If you’re not a user, we’d like to know what software products you find beneficial and why.
While we think that dropping by our booth #1751 to visit us is an important part of the AAPG’s Annual Convention and Exhibition, there are plenty of other interesting things to do and learn. Below are just a few of the fun and exciting events.
Currently, all field trips are sold out (except one) and why wouldn’t they be? They are a chance to take in the gorgeous Colorado scenery with classes like “Paleontology and Volcanic Setting of the Florissant Fossil Beds” and “Toward an Understanding of Denver’s Mountain Front Structure and Petroleum Potential.” There is even one close to the Golden Software home in Golden, Colorado, called “Geology of Exposures Along the Rocky Mountain Front Range, Morrison to Golden, Colorado, Including Stratigraphy, Environments of Deposition, Structure, Paleontology and Economic Geology.”
These are single-day instructional courses focusing on a wide variety of topics, including data modeling and analysis—perfect for Golden Software users!
With 400+ oral sessions and 500+ poster sessions, you will probably have a hard time choosing in which events you'd like to participate. If so, make your choice easier by selecting one of the nine session themes.
Of course there’s the exhibition hall where you can visit us and over 250 other companies, but don’t miss the other opportunities to network. Drop by the career center to post a resume, post a job opening, or discuss a potential employment opportunity. Take part in luncheons and receptions to mingle with your colleagues. Finally, if you’re a student or a young professional, there are special activities just for you.
We hope you take advantage of all that the AAPG ACE 2015 has to offer. We are looking forward to being a part of it and meeting you there.
