Didger 3 FAQs

Version 3.07 (January 26, 2006)

  • If you use a User Defined ellipsoid in a User Defined datum, the ellipsoid radius and flattening values are now retained for that datum.
  • Updated the code to properly handle datum transformations in raster projects and/or when using custom datums. Under some circumstances, datum transformation parameters would be improperly specified.
  • When you create a point with a label on it, then move it, then Undo the move - the label now goes back to the original position with the point.
  • The line length is now being updated automatically after the user selects Thin and Smooth on a polyline.
  • If you go to Tools | Coordinate Conversion and only want to do a Math Operation on one axis and not the other, you are now allowed to Add or Subtract 0 from the one axis you do not want to change.
  • When clipping is applied to two or more images, some areas of overlapping bitmaps no longer disappear.
  • When you use the Tools | Union Polygons command, the resulting polygon now has the correct area and perimeter length values.
  • If you create a custom vector pattern by deleting the vertical lines from the Sand pattern, the new pattern now shows up in the preview window.
  • When you have a GeoTIFF in State Plane 1927 in units of Feet and import it into Didger, Didger now properly converts the units in feet to meters.
  • Fixed a problem when the resample command on certain polylines would result in the new polyline being out of view in the project. The polyline would be visible in the Data Attribute View, but not on the plot window.
  • If you resample a line and create a new line, the new line now has the correct perimeter length.
  • You are now able to change the projection of an image calibrated in the Polyconic projection.
  • Fixed the problem when Didger imported/exported RSF files with the X and Y coordinates in the reverse positions.
  • Fixed the problem if the "Clip Map Objects During Export" option is checked under View | Project Limits and your project has a log axis, then if you exported to a DAT, the DAT file was blank.
  • Fixed a problem when you exported a projected PJT file to a BLN file and do not activate the "Projection Options" tab during export, then the resulting BLN file had incorrect X coordinates.
  • The header information in a MIF file exported from Didger now has the latitude and longitude origin header values in correct order.
  • Updated the DXF export code to handle text strings that contained a slash(/).

Version 3.06 (March 23, 2004)

  • All bitmaps and vector objects imported into a vector project are clipped when changing the project limits to a smaller area.
  • Didger no longer imports some vector files with line widths of 0.500 inches.
  • Labels on vertical polylines are now drawn correctly.
  • Canceling Acquire Image and then creating a report no longer generates an Internal Consistency error.
  • Criteria Select selects only the objects specified in the criteria.
  • The project limits, when based upon the Project Extents, for a projected vector file are now correct.
  • The default Project Limits are calculated more accurately when converting the projection of a vector file.
  • In Step Two of the tablet calibration wizard, all the previously entered calibration points are no longer deleted if you click the Load button and then click Cancel.
  • If you replicate a layer that has points with labels on it, the points in the replicated layer will now retain the labels.
  • Added a new setting to allow exporting georeferenced image files using the display units.

Version 3.05 (October 28, 2003)

  • Fixed problem where exported monochrome bitmaps had black and white reversed and/or were incorrect.

  • Added functionality to store registration information in public registry locations.
  • Fixed the TFW import filter to read files with no line terminator.

  • Fixed a problem where the Create Surfer Base Map command would not properly set the background fill mode for polygon objects.
  • Corrected a problem where the Move to Front/Back commands did not properly work in some conditions and could result in layers or objects getting misordered.
  • Fixed a problem where Didger would export data incorrectly for certain projected raster projects. Some coordinates would be reversed or coordinate values would be incorrect.
  • Fixed a problem where E00 files with projected coordinates other than meters would not import correctly.
  • Fixed a problem where the Create Surfer Base Map command would give an error if there were invisible line objects in the project.
  • Fixed a problem if Didger isn't able to import files that have coordinates outside the range of the projected limits, a warning will be presented and the object's coordinates will not be imported.

Version 3.04 (October 22, 2002)
