"Salt
Concentrations Over Time"
Peter Droogers of the International
Water Mangaement Institute (http://www.cgiar.org)
in Sri Lanka provided the following model, showing salt concentrations over
time, in an irrigated field.
I'm using Surfer and Grapher almost daily and
I would like to compliment you for developing such nice pieces of software. I
use Surfer very often to display data from hydrological simulation models. I've
included one example that might be interesting to other Surfer users, as it is
not displaying geographical data in a classical way, but it displays time
series. In this specific example you can see water and salt concentrations in an
irrigated soil where, for each day, the soil and salt profiles are plotted.
Surfer really helped me with making model results visible! I used a
regular XYZ grid (which was in fact time-depth-moisture and time-depth-salt),
applied a Nearest Neighbor gridding and used an image map to display the grid.
