MapViewer 6.2.25 (September 2, 2005)

• Added support in automation for printing with the Current View print method.  The MVPrintMethod enumeration has a new value mvView, and the PrintOut() method accepts this value.
• Previously, the page units shown in the Property Inspector remained in inches even if the units were changed to centimeters in Tools | Options.  This has been corrected.
• Improved the Curve to Area with Shared Border command to avoid creating a self-intersecting area.
• Corrected a problem where a change to the "Do not project bitmaps" option was not remembered the next time MapViewer was run.
• When executing MapViewer from a script with the application visibility set to False, exporting a map would produce a visible Export Status dialog.  This has been corrected.
• Corrected a problem where the Auto Buffer Zone would sometimes calculate an incorrect width.
• Corrected a problem where the Auto Buffer Zone would sometimes create an incorrect zone around an enclosed curve.
• If a hyperlink string contained alternate text, the File Open dialog could not be launched from the Hyperlink property in the Property Inspector. This has been corrected.
• Added code to ensure the Property Inspector was updated after object attributes were modified in the Object Manager.
• Previously, a query containing a negative number would result in an "Expression evaluation failed" error. This has been corrected.
• Switching between print methods in the Print dialog did not always properly update the Overlap and Scale controls. This has been corrected.
• Corrected a problem where changing the scale bar units from a script did not update the text descriptions that include units.
• Corrected a problem where the SetScale2() method did not work when using the Scale Method mvScaleMethodRF.
• Previously, a scale bar created with the AddScaleBar() method was not positioned at the location specified by the Left and Top parameters.  This has been corrected.
• Corrected a problem with the Territory Map and the Bar Map where the OK button in the map properties dialog was not activated after selecting a valid PID column when the default PID column was invalid.
• When creating a Territory Map or a Cartogram Map, if the default PID or data columns were invalid, no error message was issued like is done with the other types of thematic maps. This has been corrected.
• Corrected a problem where the CreateFlowMap() method would issue an exception when using the mvFlowConnectEnds flow method.

• When building a query string by choosing items from the Object Data Column or Object Attribute lists, strings were not enclosed in quotes as required.  The code as been modified to include quotes where needed.
• Lengths and areas shown in the Object Attribute query list are now displayed using the same numeric format as in the Object Manager.
• Numeric quantities shown in the Object Data Column query list are now displayed in the worksheet's general numeric format.
• Corrected a problem where closing a territory map would prompt to save the changes even when no changes had been made.
• Corrected a problem where setting the Application object's ShowToolbars property to 0 would also turn off the document tabs.
• Corrected a problem where adding a document from a script would turn off the document tabs.
• In the Street Map Options dialog, switching the display from Towns to ZIPs did not update the column header. This has been corrected.
• Corrected a problem where the Show RF Scale and RF Scale Above Bar properties were missing from the Property Inspector when the map projection was Unknown.
• Corrected a problem where the Reproject Data File command ignored the output data units.
• Corrected a problem where an incorrect size was calculated when exporting to a bitmap format if a graticule is present.
• Corrected a problem with the map collar where the vertical ticks and labels were not drawn.
• Corrected a problem where MapViewer could crash when creating a buffer zone around multiple areas.
• Corrected a problem where certain valid coordinates in a polyconic projection were displayed as being outside the projection limits.
• When the Property Inspector was tabbed with another manager, the text on the tab could retain selection info from a previous session. This has been corrected.
• The default setting foGSM was changed to allow it to contain just a path, rather than a complete file specification.
• Corrected a problem where object IDs were not loaded when importing a shapefile whose DBF records were longer than 2048 bytes.
• The ZIP code 49048 was added to the database used by MapViewer when creating a ZIP-based pin map.
• Previously, it was necessary to convert a cartogram to a base map in order to export the circle shapes to a vector-format file. Now, a cartogram can be exported to vector formats without first converting it.
• Certain GeoTIFFs that used units other than meters and a single tie point with a scalar to define the georeferencing transform were not handled properly. This problem has been corrected.
• The Help | About MapViewer dialog was changed to show the complete five-digit version number.
• Corrected a problem where a scaled picture pattern height and width could become zero if the original bitmap pattern was small and the Best Viewing DPI was large.
• Added support for the Decade of North American Geology (DNAG) ellipsoid.
• Keyboard shortcuts have been added to allow zooming in or out. Hold down the Ctrl key and press the "+" key on the numeric keypad to zoom in or the "-" key to zoom out.
• Corrected a problem where View | Fit to Window did not zoom in tightly enough when the map limits were set to less than the data limits.
• Changed the code so that the map collar is clipped by the map limits.
• Added support for importing JPEG 4:1:1 compressed EXIF files.
• Previous versions incorrectly display "Area fill colors" in the prism map legend when its color method is "Use object colors". It has been changed to "Object colors" in this version.
• Added "mvPrismColorObject" in the MVPrismColorMethod automation data type. It has the same value as "mvPrismColorArea".
• The unlinked legend of Density.gsm in the Samples folder has been updated to correct an error in density dot value.
• Added logic to update the Property Inspector automatically after editing the SID/Text field of text object or the attribute 1, attribute 2 or hyperlink field of other objects from the Object Manager.
• Saving in GIF format to a path + filename that's > 128 characters now works.
• Corrected a problem in the Print dialog where switching between Tile and View methods didn't enable/disable the Overlap and Scale controls appropriately.
