Grapher
3 New Features New! Six New Graph TypesSix new exciting graph types have been added to
Grapher 3: Step plots, Box-Whisker plots, Bubble plots, Rose diagrams, Ternary diagrams,
and Floating Bar charts.
Step plots connect data points with
vertical and horizontal lines. These plots are most useful when you want to visualize the
differences between data points rather than the trend of data.

Box-whisker plots show a
categorys minimum, maximum, and mean with lines (whiskers) and the upper and lower
quadrants with a box. This type of plot is used to display statistical data.

Add an extra dimension to scatter plots
by representing a third variable on your graph. In a Bubble plot, the third variable
defines the size of the bubble.

Rose diagrams provide a visual
impression of the distribution of data similar to histograms. Rose diagrams use polar
coordinates to show the frequency of data in a particular bin.

Ternary diagrams display the relative
percent of three variables in proportion to each other on three different axes. Ternary
diagrams are commonly used in geological analysis to represent various elements in a rock
type.

Instantly create Floating Bar charts
that show the differences between two Y variable values. The bars give a graphical
representation of the minimum and maximum. The bars show the difference between the two
values.
New! "Always on" Object Manager Simplify editing object properties by having the
Object Manager always available. Change the line and fill properties or the location of
any object with the click of a single button.
Set the window layout to be Graph w/
Object Manager. Select objects in the Object Manager and easily edit the object
properties.
New! Editable Plot Labels Create a clean professional looking graph by moving
overlapping point labels. With this new feature, graphs are easier than ever to read and
understand with all point labels visible. New! OLE Comaptible Grapher 3 is fully OLE compatible. Objects from
other programs can be linked and embedded into Grapher or Grapher objects can be linked
and embedded into other programs. This provides additional flexibility for creating
reports and keeping your information organized. New! Choose Fill Direction Choose to fill your plot up or down or to a
specific Y axis value. Customizing your graph for presentations has never been this easy.
This graph shows a line plot with the
fill direction up to the Y axis value of 30.
New! Add Plots with One Step With the click of a single button, add a new plot
to an existing plot. A common request was to be able to add curves to an existing graph
easily.
Click the "New" button beside
the current plot name to add an additional curve in a single step.
New! Define Null Values For additional control of your data being plotted,
Grapher now has the ability to recognize null values! You may easily specify any number or
group of numbers as null values. Grapher ignores data that has the null data criteria you
set. New! Create Superscripted Exponential Tick Labels Show your tick marks with superscripted exponential
labels.
Superscript the exponential tick mark
labels for more professional looking axes.
New! Complete Programming Control Grapher 3's new powerful scripting language
supports complete control of all objects within your graph. Grapher 3 includes Scripter, a
Visual Basic compatible program that makes writing and debugging scripts simple and easy.
Tap into Grapher's powerful graphing capabilities from other applications by creating your
script in any Active X Automation controller, such as Visual Basic. New! Out of Range Data Options Decide how you want to plot out of range data.
Choose to clip the plot at the clipping limits or to ignore data outside the clipping
limits.
The plots above show the same data
clipped at the clipping limits (left graph) and ignoring the data above the clipping
limits (right graph).
