What is your role at Golden Software?

Product Manager for MapViewer, Product Manager for Strater, Technical Support.

1.How long have you worked for Golden Software?

Two years in January

2.What do you like most about working for Golden Software?

I can't pick one. I like the job itself and the people equally.

The job - I go in to work every day and always have something interesting to work on. I never get bored, and it keeps me on my toes. Also, it feels really rewarding to help people.

The people - Golden Software is a small company so everyone in the office knows each other and genuinely cares about one another. It is a very comfortable environment.

3.What is your favorite Golden Software memory?

I would have to say, one day there was a bee in the office. My office-mate Kassi decided to catch it in a paper cup so she could let it go outside, but it was being evasive so she decided to put flowery-smelling lotion into the cup to lure it. It didn't work. To this day she still has her 'bug-catching' gear (that cup and a paper towel) on the corner of her desk, just in case.

4.Where are you from?

All over the U.S.

5.What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I really enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, but I had to take the year off since I had my daughter in March. Mainly, I spend time with her and my husband. I do enjoy cross stitching after she goes to bed. I'm currently making us Christmas stockings.

6.What has been the most exciting thing you’ve done in the past year?

Having a baby definitely tops the list. It's an entirely new role to step into parenthood. It's amazing and incredibly rewarding.

I went to Mines with Leslie and she was always an excellent student, and I'm sure this extends to her performance at Golden Software. Congratulations on becoming a parent!
