Golden Software is excited to celebrate 32 years in business this March!
It all started in 1983 when Colorado School of Mines computer science instructor Pat Madison and mining graduate student Dan Smith developed Golden Software's first product, PlotCall, which transformed plotter instructions into dot-matrix instructions. PlotCall opened the doors of computer graphing and mapping to many users who did not have access to more expensive hardware, such as mainframe computers and plotter printers. That was only the beginning! Today, Golden Software develops, sells, and supports six data visualization software applications, Surfer, Grapher, Voxler, Strater, Didger, and MapViewer! Our products are used worldwide in a variety of industries.
