A single-user license grants one user the right to use the software license. For each single user license you purchase, you will receive a unique product key. This license may not be used by multiple people.
A concurrent-use license, also called a “network” or “floating” license, is tied to a network. The License Manager or License Administrator software is installed on a license server on the company network. The product can be installed on as many client machines as desired. The product usage is controlled by the license server and is limited to the number of concurrent seats that were purchased.

You will receive an email containing access to the software program, the PDF User Guide and PDF Quick Start Guide immediately after purchase. You also receive one year of software maintenance with your purchase. Software maintenance entitles you to all new versions released during the maintenance period, live technical support, priority email support, and access to the many online resources. Updates - bug fixes, minor improvements (e.g. version 16.0 to 16.1)
Minor updates are available for free by clicking the File | Online | Check for Update command within Grapher. Version information can be found on the Grapher Version History page.
Upgrades - new features and improvements (e.g. version 15 to version 16)
Active Maintenance: Users with active maintenance receive the new features as part of their maintenance benefits. To upgrade to the latest version, please review this article, How do I upgrade to the latest version if my maintenance is active? Users with active maintenance can get the latest new features by downloading and installing Grapher Preview from My Account.
Expired Maintenance: If your maintenance has expired, please follow these instructions to activate your maintenance, How do I renew my software maintenance if it has expired? Once your maintenance is active, follow these instructions to download the latest version. How do I upgrade to the latest version if my maintenance is active?
Older Versions: If you are upgrading from a version prior to version 12, major upgrades (e.g. version 8 to version 16) can be purchased at a discounted rate through your Golden Software account. Upgrade now and don’t lose your chance to save! Upgrade discounts will be discontinued on December 31, 2020. Please review this article, How do I purchase an upgrade? First year maintenance is included in the upgrade purchase.

Any eligible serial number for a previous version can be upgraded to the current version at the discounted upgrade price.
To be eligible, the serial number must be registered to the purchaser and cannot be previously upgraded. When you register your product, it should appear in My Account if it's eligible for upgrade. If you’re unsure if your serial number qualifies for upgrade pricing, contact us.

To add a seat to an existing concurrent-use license, please contact us to process the order. We will need this information:
- Number of seats to add
- Product key of the existing concurrent-use license
If you purchase another concurrent-use license through our online shopping cart, you will be issued a new concurrent-use license instead of having a seat added to your existing license.
If you are a tax exempt entity conducting business within the State of Colorado, Washington, or California, contact us to provide your tax exempt number so we do not apply state sales tax on your order.
Optionally, tax exempt entities outside of the states listed above may contact us with their tax exempt numbers should sales tax rules change in the future.
